"Radar" 6 year old F3 Melanistic Savannah
Radar and Hawkeye are the very first Savannahs in this family. Ben always wanted a melanistic savannah and decided this boy was the one. Radar is also the beginning of the idea for Hidden Spots - when he walks he looks just like a panther!!
Radar is a wonderfully intelligent cat. I trained him to stay off my kitchen counters and to wait for scraps of food (He had been allowed the run of the house for two years prior). He also understands words such as "chicken". He is very good at expressions and will let you know when he's happy with you (rubbing and head butting) and when he's angry with you (he will purposefully turn his back to you and flatten his ears). He is an all-around wonderful cat!
Sadly Radar passed away in April 2015. He is deeply missed.
"Hawkeye" 9 year old F4 Brown (Spotted) Savannah
Hawkeye is the energetic one of the two savannah boys. He loves to jump high, climb high and play rambunctiously! He once caught a bat in flight in total darkness!!
He loves hair ties, zip ties, shoe strings - anything he can chew on. He loves to place them in his food bowl too. Hawkeye will come the minute he hears you open the treat drawer and has been known to pull the drawer open and bite holes in his favourite treat bags!
"Pumpkin" 11 year old Domestic Shorthair
The original rescue - Ben found her as a kitten with a broken leg. It had to be amputated and she has since become a black and white three-legged part of the family! She's a very shy creature and does not like to come out for strangers. However she loves her people and likes to be close to them. She has the longest whiskers I have ever seen on a cat!
"Tiger Kitty" 2 year old Brown (Spotted) Savannah
Tiger Kitty is a homegrown girl that we gave to our son as his pet. She is spayed and a loving part of our family! She can be quite the character with her chirpy mews and intense eyes. She is the only cat we have that will chase her tail!! My son loves his tiger kitty and has even said that she is his best friend!
"Fluffy" 2 year old Calico Domestic Longhair
Fluffy is one of the newer members of our pet family. She was given to us lovingly by my wonderful sister-in-law and her husband for Christmas! She has always been the most beautiful calico I have seen, but her beauty grows as she gets older. She has a wonderful long coat and long tail to match! She loves to wind through your legs and trip you up to show how much she loves you - or to convince you to feed her some treats! She is the one cat I have had that has chosen to climb our Christmas tree - hopefully this year the other cats won't pick up that habit from her.
"Laika" 6 year old German Shepherd
Laika was originally bought to be Catherine's pet, but right from the start she gravitated towards Ben and has been his dog since. She is large for a German Shepherd, topping out at 110lbs, but can be very obedient. She loves to play fetch with tennis balls and adores jumping into water. She also enjoys going for drives in the car, especially when she can get into Ben's truck to check cows! She loves people - has never met an enemy - and will happily jump into their car if they would let her. She prefers being an outdoor dog where she can keep an eye on the world.
"Pandora" 1 year old Great Dane
Pandora is the newest addition to our family! She is a gorgeous blue harlequin Great Dane that has come to us on a co-own program. She will be producing one litter of puppies here for her breeder. Catherine loves Great Danes - she is the second one in the family. Our original Dane from the same wonderful breeder passed away a few years ago and life has just not been the same without one of these gentle giants in the house! She is a sweet puppy that has definitely become Catherine's dog - she's very protective of her human :) Pandora is a wonderfully gentle girl and tolerates all the savannah cats and kittens - even the ones that climb all over her, play with her wagging tail or swat at her face. She just sits on her bed quietly!
